Rutgers University Honorary Degrees
Do you know a Cook College, College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, or College of Agriculture graduate who has earned outstanding national or international acclaim and would be worthy of an honorary doctorate from Rutgers University?
The Rutgers Faculty Committee on Honorary Degrees seeks nominations more two years in advance of the presentation at the spring University Commencement ceremony. For example, candidates for a 2010 honorary degree must be nominated in 2008. Candidates should add to the distinction and tradition of the University and should have attained scholarly excellence or should have made major contributions to society. A letter of nomination and appropriate biographical material, curriculum vitae and/or other supporting documentation must be submitted for consideration.
Information on the honorary degree nomination process and needed criteria is available at Office of the Secretary of the University
